The Orange Sculpture

Today’s Photo:  The Orange Sculpture

I am usually pretty good about figuring out what things are.  However, this was not one of those.  I have no idea what it is supposed to represent or supposed to be.  I found this sitting in front of the Hunter museum in the Art District of Chattanooga.  Even though I have no idea what it was, I still thought it was pretty cool.  This was kinda challenging because the concert ending River Rocks just finished on the roadway below this point and there were lots of people walking around.  It is amazing what you can do with low light photography.

Great colors. Night time photography is one of my favorites.

It kind of looks like a deSuvero, we have one of those here in South Bend, and i saw one outside of the Smithsonian in DC, too.

Interesting photo. Is the glow a result of post-processing, or was there something going on in the picture? Very cool.

    • Kris, the glow was actually from the sculpture. I took three exposures and made an HDR from it. The sculpture was lit extremely bright compared to everything around and in the 0 exposure, it was very much aglow.
