Winter Skies

Today’s Photo:  Winter Skies

A fellow photographer, Tim Stanley, posted the other day about what he likes about winter.  I would have to concur that winter skies are “Like an artist’s canvas, the beautiful brush strokes blend into one another, creating …Continue Reading Here…

The Hirshhorn Museum

Today’s Photo:  The Hirshhorn Museum

This was my first visit to the National Mall since I was in eight grade.  Lets just say it was a long time ago.  I am fortunate enough to have family that lives in the D.C. area and they were free to give me a quick tour.  Unfortunately, I was not able …Continue Reading Here…

Swett's Battery

Today’s Photo:  Swett’s Battery

Chickamauga Battlefield has to be one of the most interesting I have visited.  It is also one of the oldest of the National Battlefield Parks.  As I walked around, there were markers for where certain units were at given points …Continue Reading Here…

Indecision

I had a hard time deciding what photo to post tonight.  It was a toss up between a sunset and this.  I finally made up my mind when I had to ride the four wheeler out to the gazebo…in the pouring rain.  It has rained hard here before, but I don’t think it has rained this hard for this long since I have lived here.
The Perfect Storm

Today’s Photo:  The Perfect Storm

I took this shot a long time ago.  Somewhere around 8 – 9 years ago with my first digital camera.  It was an HP Photosmart 320 which I got from my wife for Christmas.  There was a massive storm front, complete with tornados, moving in.  There was a perfect …Continue Reading Here…

The Roadster Dash

Today’s Photo:  The Roadster Dash

I was looking through my classic car posts and noticed that I have not posted any shots of the interior of these fine cars.  I was very surprised to find this out since I have plenty.  There is so much detail and attention paid to everything on these cars.  From the body to the engine, nothing is …Continue Reading Here…

Chattanooga Sunset

Today’s Photo:  Chattanooga Sunset

I took this shot of the Chattanooga skyline at sunset in October.  A few minutes later, I got another shot of the Chattanooga Skyline at Dusk.  It is amazing how much just a few minutes can change the way a complete scene looks.  From warm …Continue Reading Here…

Freer Gallery of Art

Today’s Photo:  Freer Gallery of Art

I was in drafting for most of the four years I was in high school.  I had the dream of being an architect when I “grew up”.  What ever happened to that dream?  Huh!  So, from a young age, I have taken an interest in architecture and …Continue Reading Here…

A Lone Sail

Today’s Photo:  A Lone Sail

I have always loved the water.  I try to make it to the beach at least once a year.  That always does not happen.  The family and I rode the Shell Island dolphin cruise one year in Panama City Beach, Florida.  There is a nice little …Continue Reading Here…

Sassy

Today’s Photo:  Sassy

I don’t know about many other kids, but mine do not slow down for anything.  Especially when I have the camera.  I had been trying to get a quick shot of the kids while riding, which was lots of fun, but only got this one shot of …Continue Reading Here…
