Fluffy Clouds at Sunset

Today’s Photo:  Fluffy Clouds at Sunset

I happen to love clouds.  I would sit and watch them for hours when I was little.  If I could, I would still sit for hours, but there just is not enough time to do that.  I loved clouds and weather enough that I had a …Continue Reading Here…

Portland Over the Esplanade

Today’s Photo:  Portland Over the Esplanade

A couple years ago, I got to go to Portland, Oregon.  It was my first trip to the Pacific Northwest.  The hotel I was staying in was right by the water and the Esplanade.  I took a couple of evenings and walked most …Continue Reading Here…

SmugMug and Flickr

For anyone new, I use SmugMug to host my recent photos on this site.  You can click the photo to get a large version of it.  Since most are HDR, they look much better big.  Really big.  I also use Flickr just because I like the community that has been built there.  You can check out the SmugMug gallery or the Flickr photostream.

 Chevy

Today’s Photo:  Chevy

I actually found this old Chevy at the last car show I went to last year.  Luckily it was not too cold and not too hot that day.  It was just about right.  I really liked this one because it still needed a little tender loving and care, but still had that great polished chrome for some good reflections.  I got shots of the gray car next to it.  Maybe someday I will get around to posting those.

A Tree and Some Bushes

Today’s Photo:  A Tree and Some Bushes

A couple of weekends ago, I made it by the Tellus Science museum.  I have been by it many times.  I even promised the children to take them to it probably as many.  Finally we made it.  It is a pretty cool museum, but what I noticed …Continue Reading Here…

Just Breaking

Today’s Photo:  Just Breaking

It amazes me how the sun can change angles based on the time of year.  For the end of the spring and most of the summer, this was what I got to see driving out most mornings.  The timing was almost perfect.  The rest of the year, it is either …Continue Reading Here…

First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville

Today’s Photo:  First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville

Today brings another round in my churches series.  This is in the heart of downtown Cartersville Georgia.  I have been past it many times and always admired the medieval look.  That was always my favorite time in history to …Continue Reading Here…

Ford Model A

Today’s Photo:  Ford Model A

I usually try to separate photos from the same event / place by several days at least.  However, there were so many cool cars, I could not resist this one.  I was so busy taking photos that I never stopped to ask what year this was.  The best I can tell, it is a …Continue Reading Here…

The Grand

Today’s Photo:  The Grand

This past weekend, I made it to First Friday in Canton, the Tellus in Cartersville and the Car Show the first Saturday in Cartersville.  The car show was completely by luck.  I had forgotten that there was one the first Saturday of every month.  We were in Cartersville and …Continue Reading Here…

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Today’s Photo:  Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

I have not made it through as many of the Civil War sites that I would have liked to.  However, I was able to make it by Kennesaw Mountain once again a few weeks ago.  I made the trek to the top of the mountain with my Super Trooper little one and …Continue Reading Here…

County Sunset

Today’s Photo:  County Sunset

I miss winter.  We never had it here.  There were several days in January where we had temperatures in the 70’s.  Then we had temperature in the 80’s in April.  Now we are supposed the have a low of 35 Thursday.  What’s up with that?  The worst part of …Continue Reading Here…
