Rock House Falls

Today’s Photo:  Rock House Falls

Another of the water falls from Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee.  After taking the time to walk to the base of Fall Creek Falls, I did not think I would be able to make it to this water fall.  In fact, when I was looking at the map, I just planed on …Continue Reading Here…

Golden Sunrise

Today’s Photo:  Golden Sunrise

Sunrise has to be the most peaceful time of the day.  Normally, in my house, no one is awake and it is quiet.  On the other hand, evening is usually busy getting the last of the days tasks finished, eating dinner and getting ready for bed.  I think that is why [Continue Reading…]

Today’s Photo:  First Presbyterian Church, Marietta

Nearly every city has a “First” church and many have multiple “First” churches.  One for each denomination.  This is the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta.  It sits along Church Street with the First Baptist Church and several others.  Not all of the others are “Firsts” though.

The Horse

Today’s Photo:  The Horse

A couple weekends ago, I took my children to a friends house to feed their horses.  Taking apples and carrots to a horse is like feeding candy to a kid.  I am just glad I did not feed the candy to the kids before feeding the horses.  It did not take long for …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Where to go Next

It is nice when a city becomes really involved in development that is meant to attract people to continue to explore.  That is the feeling I get every time I visit Chattanooga.  No matter where I go, there is that feeling that I need to keep going to …Continue Reading Here…

Frosty Morning

Today’s Photo:  Frosty Morning

I have shot so many photos of gates in this area, that sometimes I forget to look elsewhere.  What is sad is that this gate is just down the road from the others.  Most of the time, I don’t make it by this gate with good light.  Usually it is too early, as in the [Continue Reading…]

Christmas Lights

Today’s Photo:  Christmas Lights

It’s almost time for Christmas lights again.  Has it been that long already?  I shot this Christmas night last year in downtown Cartersville.  This year, I was thinking of trying the Atlanta Botanical Gardens “Garden Lights” or maybe one of the local drive thru light displays.  I’m just worried that I will not have enough time to shoot if we are driving through.

The Machine

Today’s Photo:  The Machine

I am a technology lover.  I always want the newest gadget that is out there.  I don’t always get to get them, but that does not stop the desire.  That is what happened when I purchased a Raspberry Pi, a $35.00 computer.  However, I am sometimes mystified by the need for complex machines to perform mundane simple tasks.  That was the situation I ran across at the Marble Festival in Jasper Georgia.  This shot is of an apple peeler and corer.  Now, how hard is it to peel and core and apple?

The Hope Center

Today’s Photo:  The Hope Center

I was driving through Cartersville the other day and saw this ribbon being projected on the side of a building.  What I did not know was that it is the Hope Center, which is a cancer treatment facility.  This is just one of many cancer centers in this area.  Unfortunately, the loss to …Continue Reading Here…

First Baptist Church Marietta

Today’s Photo:  First Baptist Church Marietta

A few weeks ago, I made it back through downtown Marietta for a few minutes.  While I was there, I took some shots from a church that I failed to get the name of.  Well, it is the First Baptist Church of Marietta.  It is a rather large church and has tons of details.  I could spend hours there taking photos.  This is of a little courtyard in between two of the larger buildings.
