Riverfront Theatre Complex

Today’s Photo: Riverfront Theatre Complex

Many years ago, when I was in high school and college, I thought I might make a life in the theater.  That did not happen, but it had a profound impact on my life.  One of the greatest things I gained from it was my appreciation for the arts.  I have walked past the theater complex for Columbus State University several times, but haven’t attended a show there.  Maybe one day I will have to change that.

Bay Avenue Railroad Bridge

Today’s Photo: Bay Avenue Railroad Bridge

I am a fan of railroads.  I loved them growing up, had the train table and all, and still have a fascination with them.  I may have to get a table for my son when he gets a few years old.  Of course it would just be for him, well maybe.  Enough of that, I found this bridge while exploring the riverfront in Columbus, Georgia.  I thought I would give it a little old time photo look in honor of one of the oldest forms of transportation around.

The Infantryman

Today’s Photo: The Infantryman

I spent a couple hours walking through the National Infantry Museum at Fort Benning.  It is a sobering experience walking through the hall of the museum and seeing the history of infantry in the United States.  This shot is of the Infantryman statue that sits under the rotunda at the entrance to the museum.
