Today’s Photo: Our Tree
Finally, it is done! Normally, we try to get the tree and all the Christmas decorations up immediately following Thanksgiving. That did not happen that way this year. Come to think of it, it usually does not happen that way. I can say that it was all my fault this year. I began moving furniture around for the tree and had a brilliant idea. I just wish it had been about thirty minutes earlier. I decided that I wanted a time lapse of the tree being put up and decorated. I set the camera up and promptly ran out of time. I mean, kids have to go to bed, homework has to be done, baths have to be gotten, dishes done, kitchen cleaned…you know what I mean. So, Our Tree (stump) sat in the living room several days as just the first level of a prelit tree with straight branches…The Stump. So, The Stump became a fixture at our hose for several days. It sat proudly, about two feet high. Then I came home from work one day and miraculously The Stump had grown into a full grown well shaped tree, with lights. I think my wife may have fed it too much miracle grow. Now I had no excuse and had to set the camera up. I turned on some Christmas music and let the kids go at it. 1891 photos later and Our Tree had arrived. I am still working out the bugs with the time lapse, but hope to have it done soon.
