Today’s Photo: The Steel Dome
Another adventure in light painting. I was not sure about doing this shot, but was pleased with the way it turned out. I was afraid the drops of burning steel would reach farther than they did. It was impressive seeing this just above my head.
I sooo want to try this! You have a great spot to shoot this at too. Great capture. I’m liking the new fresh look on the site too.
Thanks Tim. If you do try this, make sure you are over water or there was a good rain. I might even keep a fire extinguisher handy. I have been fortunate enough to have had no accidents, but I am covered from head to toe with just my face exposed. I have had a couple times where the steel has landed on my wrists, but the gloves stopped it from burning me. If you do decide you want to try, I’ll give you all the pointers I know.
