Anyone who wants can check through the past year and a half worth of work and know that I am not usually a portrait photographer.  This is not necessarily because I can’t or don’t want to do it, but more of it being out of …Continue Reading Here…

Father's Day

Today’s Photo:  Father’s Day

I am taking a break from my churches series to wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father’s Day.  I am sure to take a lot of flack for not starting this sooner and missing Mother’s Day.  However, I decided today shall be a good day to start this.  After wishing everyone out there a Happy Father’s Day, I would like to wish my own, a happy and exciting day.  One of the proudest day’s in my life was the day I became a father, and I have been blessed to have had two of those days.

Lovely

Today’s Photo:  Lovely

I have posted a few photos taken by my wife over the past couple of months.  However, I noticed that I had not posted any photos of my lovely wife.  I shot this with my AF Nikkor 50mm f1.8D.  I really like that lens.  I have been very pleased with the results that I have …Continue Reading Here…

Flying High

Today’s Photo:  Flying High

One of the main reasons I started this daily photo blog was to capture memories.  One of the big problems with that is I am behind the camera almost all of the time.  I get a pretty good view of events from my point of view, behind the camera.  This works great for …Continue Reading Here…

I've Got My Eye on You

Today’s Photo:  I’ve Got My Eye on You

I must say that I really love the new 50mm lens.  There is nothing like spending time with kids and trying to capture what they are thinking with a camera.  There has been some recent discussion in the photography realm about the future …Continue Reading Here…

Blue Eyes

Today’s Photo:  Blue Eyes

I could not hold off posting this one much longer.  This is another shot with my new 50mm lens.  I have had so much fun with the new lens.  My daughter has a habit of putting her headphones on and tuning out the world, or giving me that …Continue Reading Here…

Teal

Today’s Photo:  Teal

I have now had the AF Nikkor 50mm f1.8D for a week.  Frustratingly, I have only had the opportunity to test it out one day.  What a fabulous portrait lens.  I took photos of several people and was pleased to find this to be a very …Continue Reading Here…

Sassy

Today’s Photo:  Sassy

I don’t know about many other kids, but mine do not slow down for anything.  Especially when I have the camera.  I had been trying to get a quick shot of the kids while riding, which was lots of fun, but only got this one shot of …Continue Reading Here…

Chromed

Today’s Photo:  Chromed

I have to say, Chrome is a photographers second best friend, or at least somewhere near the top.  I have found one of the best places to find chrome has to be at the car show.  Everywhere I looked at this one, there was …Continue Reading Here…

Pretty Flowers

So, the on track has not happened so “on track”.  Oh well, it is what it is.  Because I have been so busy, I have not had as much time to process photos that I would like.

While at the Worldwide Photo Walk, I noticed several people with camera slings.  The kind of single point sling much like what is used in competition shooting.  I saw a review by Tim Stanley on one of the Black Rapid straps and am leaning toward getting one.  Suggestions anyone?
