Another quick shot from Easter. There is nothing like seeing the joy on a child’s face as they run, look for and then find eggs; or for that matter, anything. I would not be able to do this without my family to support this “eccentric” habit. Sometimes they think I am crazy for the lengths I go to get a shot. Other times, I think I am.
On the Hunt
I love scavenger hunts. There is nothing like collecting clues, putting them together and finding something cool. Maybe I need to start a group near me that has them on a regular basis or maybe I just need to get serious about geocaching? So, I think my youngest is going to take after me, she is like a maniac at Easter egg hunts. The older one is not far behind.
Native American History
Tonight’s post shall be short. I plan on leaving at 0230 to attempt to get into position to take sunrise photos. Like previously stated, all plans fall apart at first contact. Maybe the back-up plans will work.
This is the back wall of the Smithsonian Native American Museum. I loved how it let lots of light into the building, but there were still places in shadow and seemed mysterious to me. On the other side of the building from this window is a prism in the wall. When the sun is shining, it creates a rainbow in the room. Unfortunately, I did not get to see it because the rain. I wonder what the child in the corner is thinking?
