Mount Hood

I grew up in the outdoors and I have found that my love for it has lead me to want to capture great vistas.  However, in the Eastern US, there are not that many great vistas to see.  It was not until in the past few years …Continue Reading Here…

Lake Reflections

I did not get the time I thought I would to process photos today.  However, I did make it through a few and I got some interesting shots from around town.  I will have to share them soon.

I love to take photos of the sunset.  However, I find myself …Continue Reading Here…

Final Resting Place©2011 Just Shooting Memories (all rights reserved)

I took a trip to the Marietta Square with my family tonight, Saturday night.  We had a wonderful time and thankfully they were very forgiving of the camera being toted along.  Hopefully I will have some time to process a couple of those photos later today.  Now time for sleep.

Today’s Photo:  Final Resting Place

I have posted several photos from the Old Car City USA.  However, this …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  A Photographer and the Enterprise

I love to go to museums.  There is always so much to see.  I wonder if those people creating the history were thinking they were going to be a part of history or just doing what they wanted to at the time and just happened to be in the right place …Continue Reading Here…

Freer Gallery of Art©2011 Just Shooting Memories (all rights reserved)

Every once in a while I like to go through my archive of photos.  This helps me in two ways.  First, I get to see all the old photos that I took and relive the moments.  I mean, that is what this is all about.  “Capturing Memories for a Lifetime”.  Second, every time I go through …Continue Reading Here…

Depth

In preparation of the upcoming cold weather, I submit to you the depth to which I hope the snow gets.  What, there is going to be no snow.  Com’on.  This is the South.  It has to be snowing in mid September.  Oh well.  I guess we will have to deal with mid to low 70’s.  It’s about time the weather began shifting.  Maybe for …Continue Reading Here…

Flagged©2011 Just Shooting Memories (all rights reserved)

Today’s Photo: Flagged

I was exploring the US Space and Rocket Center in Birmingham, Alabama, when I noticed the flags flying outside.  It just happened that the end of the building was a huge glass wall with the tail end of a Saturn V rocket just waiting to blast through it.  The flags made such a …Continue Reading Here…

One Head Light

Today’s Photo: One Head Light

While walking around Old Car City USA, I kept seeing a sight that reminded me of a song from several years ago; One Head Light by the Wallflowers.  Then, I remembered that I forgot the headphones and could not listen to it.  Oh well.  Sometimes life is not perfect.  Just lots of fun. …Continue Reading Here…

 American Heros 4

Today’s Photos:  Helicopters of the American Hero’s Air Show

This past weekend I went to the American Hero’s Air Show in Canton, Georgia.  I love flying and this was a unique air show to get to go to.  It is only helicopters, so it can be held almost anywhere.  I thought it was a very cool event and was able to get a few shots of the helicopters.  Unfortunately, I only took the wide angle lens, so I did not get many good shots of the helicopters while they were flying.  However, there were several on static display which I got to see.

If you have not heard of the American Hero’s Air Show, they hold shows at several different areas around the country.  Check out the American Hero’s Air Show website for a location near you.

Chatsworth Overlook

Today’s Photo:  Chatsworth Overlook

A while back I decided to take an adventure with my two daughters.  Now, I must say they are a handful and rarely listen when I need them to.  So, I guess I could say that just going outside is an adventure.  However, I decided to take them …Continue Reading Here…
