I took a photo of a vehicle the other day and noticed an Apple sticker on it.  So, not being one to pass up a conversation and with the recent retiring of Steve Jobs, I asked the owner if he was an Apple “fan boy”.  Based on the vehicle and owner, I never expected the answer I got.  I was told that he was not until he recently got an iPhone.  I fully expected him to say, exuberantly, Yes!  That made me think of my position on the subject and I have to agree that I would not have even thought of Apple except for having an iPhone.  Now I am working on justifying to my wife the purchase of a MacBook Pro.  It’s only the best platform for artistic photographer types… right?

So, being a new Apple “fan boy”, it was sad to hear of Job’s passing.  This truly marks the passing of an era.

Today’s Photo:  Flying out the Window

I took a trip to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center a few weeks ago and had loads of fun.  However, this should have been more than just a day trip.  The most noticeable thing about the museum is the Saturn V rocket which stands in front of the entrance.  Once you enter the museum, you are in a two story round atrium with step around the outside.  In the middle of this open space, hangs the Quick Plane.  There are windows all around the plane at the level it is hanging.  When you stand on the second floor, there is a great view of the surrounding area as if you were flying in the Quick Plane.  This was looking out the window toward the Saturn V.  You can get a slight feel of the size of the rocket compared to the plane.  It is huge.

Great story and photo. I like the black and white. I’ve had every iPhone since the first, but never did post the sticker…
