Today’s Photo: Silent Cannon
About a year ago, I decided I was going to start a series of photos called the Silent Guns of the South. I have always been a fan of history and more specifically, military history. So, I thought this would be a lot of fun. I began planning and then learned that it was the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. It just made the adventure that much greater for me. Now, I am about a year into it and have visited three major battlefield parks and have several more planned for soon. This is one of the cannons that sits at the base of Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia.
Cool shot. I like the lens flare. Gives it a cinematic feel.
It makes you think there might be enemy troops out there in those trees. Sounds like it’s going to be a fun series.
