Having museums near home is great.  You can go visit them when you want and don’t have to cram a whole lot into a limited amount of time for one visit.  One of our local museums is the Booth Western Art museum.  It’s almost like going back to [Continue Reading…]

The Big Dump Truck

Today’s Photo:  The Big Dump Truck

Most boys are fascinated by big trucks.  It seems that the larger they are the cooler and if it hauls a lot of dirt, the better.  All it takes is a trip to the local toy isle to find dump trucks in all shapes and sizes.  The common denominator for all is the ability to carry massive amounts of dirt.  And every boy that I know likes to play in the dirt.  So, it was no surprise to find a massive dump truck parked outside the Tellus Museum.  You know its a big dump truck when the tires are taller than your average person.

There are not many castles in the United States.  In fact, there are no “real” castles if you think of them as having been built in the medieval times.  The offices of the Smithsonian Institute occupy one of them on the National Mall [Continue Reading…]

How to Purchase Prints

I have had many requests to purchase prints lately, so I finally decided to give that option.  At the bottom of each photo that will be available, there will be a link to purchase a print.  I have been hosting the photos for the site through SmugMug since November and I have added many of the photos from the site prior to November to SmugMug.  However, not all photos are there, but if there is one you find and it is not on SmugMug, let me know.
