St. Mary's, Another View

Today’s Photo:  St. Mary’s, Another View

One of my favorite things about churches are the many different angles you can photograph of them.  This is another shot of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Rome.  From the outside, I think it would be beneficial to see if photography would be allowed inside the church.  I have never tried that before.  Maybe that will have to be put on the list of upcoming adventures.

PawPaw's Barn

Today’s Photo:  PawPaw’s Barn

Everyone has special places they like to go.  My wife speaks all the time of her childhood and going to her grandparents’ home.  Unfortunately, mine were gone before I had many memories of them.  One of the reasons I think there are so many fond memories of …Continue Reading Here…

Making Footsteps in the Sand

Today’s Photo:  Making Footsteps in the Sand

I love the water.  It does not have to be the ocean, it could be a pool, river or lake.  This just happened to be one of our trips to the beach.  My daughter was panicking and would not get near the surf, so I relinquished the camera to my wife.  I did not know she was taking …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Just a Plain Sunrise

It has been a while since I was able to coordinate my schedule with sunrise.  Not to mention, it has been pretty clear or very minimal clouds lately.  So, I was feeling the sunrise thing and dug through my archive for this one.  I shot this …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Ross’s Landing

The water cannons along the waterfront at Ross’s Landing have been one of my favorite spots.  Whether in the winter and cold breeze creating a nice mist or the summer and a warm breeze blowing small water droplets, it seems to be just …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Bare Trees and Wispy Clouds

Fall is in the air and it’s time for some fall color.  I have plans to spend a weekend in middle Tennessee the second weekend of October.  Traditionally that is around the best time for good fall colors and I am hoping this year is no different.  On another …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  The Mausoleum

I was driving through Jasper Georgia one night and ran across this.  As we passed it, I made a comment to my wife about it and decided to turn around.  Of course, the kids in the back had to start asking questions about what a mausoleum was.  My wife explained …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist

Another week down and here is the next Church in the series.  This church is just outside Calhoun Georgia.  It took a little while to decide on the angle to shoot this one from.  I finally chose to take this shot of the front.  I was surprised by the three trees …Continue Reading Here…

Today’s Photo:  Hero’s Don’t Wear Capes

I must admit, I am a member of the comic book generation.  I spent many days reading about Superman, Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk and the list goes on.  The one thing that seems to run through all comics is that the hero wears some super costume, most of the …Continue Reading Here…

Finding Time

Today’s Photo:  Finding Time

One of the hardest things for me to do in photography is to find the time to capture memories, but it is one of the most fun things that I do.  Since this is not my job, I have to juggle it with family, work and all sort of other obligations.  However, I have been learning, slowly but …Continue Reading Here…
